End Tiredness Program – Scam Or The Real Thing

May 31, 2009 Author admin
John Davenport asked:

Tina Hagen’s End Tiredness program is a pdf book about ways in which you can eliminate your fatigue and increase your energy levels. I believe that many people have unrealistic expectations from this program so they end up thinking that it doesn’t work. If you’re wondering the same, than this article is certainly worth reading. The truth is that the End Tiredness Program isn’t a scam, but it’s not a magical cure either.

You see, this program is an education program. If you’re not going to apply what you learn, you won’t get any benefits from this program. However, if you take this program seriously, take the time to read the program well and make a true commitment to making the necessary lifestyle changes (which aren’t that massive), you can get a lot out of the End Tiredness Program.

The most important thing is to remain realistic. You won’t see a difference in your fatigue or energy levels. It takes time to make a true difference. You can’t shift your lifestyle and expect that your body will automatically transform itself overnight. This is why I think some people think the End Tiredness Program is a scam: they’re just unrealistic and don’t have the necessary patience and commitment to truly make a difference in their life.

Does the End Tiredness program work for everyone? Not it doesn’t. Some people suffer from a physical condition which makes them more tired than other people. If this is the case than any benefit you get from this program will be limited. But if you’re like most of the people and you suffer from excessive tiredness simply because you’re making some simple lifestyle mistakes, than the End Tiredness Program can teach you a few things.

4 Steps on How to Identify Nail Fungus

Chris Nowheet asked:

Nail fungus is the worse. Aside from discoloring your nails, it smells can drive away your next door neighbour. As my previous article suggests, nail fungus can get to you from bad daily habits. Habits that involves not feet hygiene, but places and things to watch out for if you don’t want to get nail fungus. Now for the big part, if you suspect that you have been infected with the fungus, what are symptoms? How to identify them? We can do it in four steps.

The first thing that you can do is pay attention to your nail. When I said pay attention, I mean take notice of your nail color. Of course, for you women that like to put nail polish, you should pay attention after you remove them. Fungal infection usually distort your nail natural color. The color can range from shades of yellow to shades of brown. If you notice discoloration at your nails, feet or hand, you should act quickly. If it’s nail fungus, you’d be wise to treat it quickly before it spreads or damage your nail any further thus saving you a difficult and long treatment. The second thing that you can do is examine your nails. Is it thickening? Of course our nail thickness varies from person to person but you would know if your nail is thicker than normal. Fungal infection can also cause nails to be thicker since the fungus grows under the nail. So be wary of your nail thickness. The third thing that you can do is test your nails. How can you test them? Nails are generally made fro keratine. They should be strong. If your nails are crumbly, jagged at the ends, and break easily, this is a red alert. Your nails are not that weak. It is possible that the fungal infection is already noteworthy. The fourth thing that you can do is take notice of the nail bed. What is a nail bed? It’s the connective tissue underlying the nail. It’s the in between your nails and the skin of your finger under it. Now, usually your nails are attached to the skin under it, but if it shows sign that it’s not attached, or easily separated, this means that fungal infection there has spread wide. Fungus are brewing under your nails.

This is the four steps that you can take to make sure that you’re not having fungal infection on your nails. But what if you tested and found that you’re positive with nail fungus?

Chronic Fatigue Diet Alternatives

Caleb Liu asked:

The foods a person consumes plays a vital role in their overall health, both physically and mentally. A person who fills their daily diet with foods high in fats and sugars will definitely find they don’t feel as well as they once did. The problem of obesity is out of control in our society. It affects people of all ages and all backgrounds. While no one really enjoys being overweight there is a large portion of this population that refuse to take steps to change it. They simply decide to accept their physical appearance as it is. While this is an option each of us has, you simply can’t push the medical problems associated with a poor diet to the side. While a poor diet isn’t the only cause of chronic fatigue it can be a significant trigger.

Chronic fatigue is the result of eating so poorly you are actually causing damage to your body and your mental abilities. Establishing a healthy chronic fatigue diet includes increasing the amount of protein that is consumed on a daily basis. This can be found in a variety of meats, poultry, and beans. Don’t eat too much protein though because it can harm your kidneys. If you don’t care for such foods you may want to consider a protein shake instead.

You also need to work on reducing the amount of fats and sugars you consume. Replace high sugar snacks with low calorie fruits and vegetables. If you crave something sweet then dip fruits into a yogurt dip. These small changes to your diet can help you have more energy.

Any chronic fatigue diet plan should be an attempt at lifestyle changes not just something you do for a short period of time. It will take a while for your body to start reacting positive to the changes when you pick a chronic fatigue diet. It is a good idea to discuss the chronic fatigue diet with a nutritionist who can help you develop a customized plan that is right for you. Having a wide variety of foods and recipes for the chronic fatigue diet will help prevent you from becoming bored with it.

How to Naturally Support Your Adrenals

May 16, 2009 Author admin
Katie Alfieri asked:

Your adrenals are tiny glands that sit atop your kidneys. They are responsible for your “flight” or “fight” instinct. When you are under prolonged stress, your adrenals keep pumping out cortisol and adrenaline. If they continue that process for too long they become depleted and then your immune system, and possibly your thyroid becomes compromised. Hence it is important to take care of these little glands!

One of the best ways to care for your adrenals is to get proper rest. Try going to bed at the same time every night, and your adrenals will thank you.

Adrenal glands help to regulate blood sugar levels, so reducing the amount of sugar and simple carbs will reduce the amount of stress you put on your glands. Caffeine also compromises your adrenals so it is wise to cut back on that as well.

Eat organic veggies and fruits, nuts, legumes, complex whole grains, and pasture raised, hormone free meats. Your entire body will benefit from that!

How do you know if your adrenals are fatigued? Here are a few symptoms:

Lower back pain and/or knee pain especially on the side
Dark circles under your eyes
Dizziness
A craving for salt or sweets
A feeling of being tired, yet wired
Chronic infections
Low blood sugar

You may also want to talk to a healthcare provider about supplementing your diet with B vitamins, Vitamin D, or herbs such as Ashwaganda, or L-Theanine which aid your body in dealing with stress. If you do feel like your suffering from Adrenal Fatigue, definitely talk to your doctor about it as it could adversely affect your thyroid too.

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome – 5 Things That Won’t Help Excessive Tiredness

May 4, 2009 Author admin
Hels Doherty asked:

In the Western world, one in four people suffer from prolonged tiredness in one form or another, with 25% of women suffering clinically diagnosed day time tiredness. Is it any wonder tiredness is gaining a reputation as the modern plague?

When we do suffer from tiredness, we can do a number of things to try and reduce the symptoms. Things like sleep more, drink a lot of coffee, have an energy drink, take energy pills, or other forms of stimulant. These five things aren’t doing anything good for us in the long term.

(1) Sleeping more

When I used to sleep 10 to 12 hours, I’d find myself waking up and feeling really groggy, like I’d only had a couple of hours sleep. I used to wonder how people like Jay Leno could be so full of energy and only have 4 hours sleep. Thomas Edison explains this quite succinctly: “Most people overeat 100% and over sleep 100% because they like it. That extra 100% makes them unhealthy and inefficient. The person who sleeps eight to ten hours a night is never fully asleep and never fully awake – they only have different degrees of doze through the twenty four hours.”

(2) Drink a lot of coffee

A cup of coffee is just a stimulant. It will pick you up for a short amount of time, then you’ll feel tired again and need another one. Next time you reach for that coffee pot, think about the fact that coffee can actually make you more tired, by causing iron and Vitamin D deficiency – both causes of chronic fatigue syndrome.

(3) Drink an Energy Drink

Like with coffee, energy drinks are a quick pick me up. But energy drinks often have an extremely high amount of caffeine in them, so you should think carefully what you are putting into your system and the long term effects of doing this. And you feel worse after the short buzz anywhere (yes been there too).

(4) Taking Energy Pills

Caffeine is not a healthy stimulant, every time you take a high dose of caffeine, you are making your heart beat faster than it should you are sending a surge of blood to your brain. Once again you will feel the effects of energy pills for a little while, but when your catches up you will be even more tired. I remember taking about 6 caffeine pills for all night study session, and going to lie down the following afternoon just for a little rest and then waking up 6 hours later!

(5) Other Stimulants

The stimulants already mentioned and other stimulants (both legal and not) only have the effect of mastering the symptoms of tiredness. They do absolutely nothing, absolutely nada for excessive tiredness and chronic fatigue syndrome. Instead by consistently using these stimulants you can end up pushing your body to its limits and burnout resulting in even more tiredness. It becomes a Catch 22 situation.

The Side Effects of Bodybuilding Supplements

May 1, 2009 Author admin
Natalie Aranda asked:

Many body builders turn to discount bodybuilding supplements in order to achieve more noticeable results in a shorter amount of time. In addition, supplements can help to maintain energy levels so that workouts can be longer and more effective. However, both brand name and discount supplements can cause side effects, which should be considered before starting a supplement regimen.

One of the most popular bodybuilding supplements is creatine. Creatine monohydrate is used to increase muscle fullness and body mass. It also helps in shortening the recovery time after an intense workout. Creatine can cause your muscles to retain water, which can lead to dehydration in some people. Also, there might be up to a five pound weight gain during the first week. There are no major known side effects of taking creatine, but some people experience gas, bloating or diarrhea during the first few weeks of use.

Glutamine is taken by those who are doing frequent intense workouts. It is an amino acid that occurs naturally in your muscles, and it also works to help maintain your immune system. It can become depleted through diet or hard workouts, and a supplement can help to keep up immune response. There have been no reported side effects.

Andro supplements have received a lot of negative press as androstenedione is banned at the Olympics. However, andro supplements are not illegal and many believe they help build muscle mass and strength. Andro supplements cause an increase in female sex hormones. When taken by men, it can cause breast growth as well as a decreased sex drive. It also increases the risk of heart disease.

Caffeine is used to burn fat in a way that discourages fatigue. It can increase concentration and some feel it helps with motivation. It also has an effect on muscle contraction. It can be easy to take too much caffeine because many people also drink soda, coffee, or eat chocolate while taking the supplements. If too much caffeine is consumed, side effects include heart palpitations, nervousness, irritability, dehydration and diarrhea.

As with any type of medication or vitamin, you should make yourself aware of the possible side effects of the drug to determine whether the benefits of taking it outweigh any negative outcomes. While many supplements do not have any side effects, some have side effects which should make you think twice before purchasing them. All it takes is a little bit of research and you should be able to take supplements without having to worry about any unwanted results.
